Climate adaptation fund receives fresh pledges

A group of donor countries pledged additional money to an adaptation fund that supports flood defences and early-warning systems.

The fund's secretariat said the money would be disbursed against applications already filed rather than opening a new application window.

Where the money goes

Roughly two-thirds of the fund's spending to date has gone to river management and drainage, with the remainder split between forecasting and community training.
